talent~

Our daughter McKenzie designed this photo ( of her daddy and brother)~ she is in University (Photography and Journalism.)
In the U.S. She's just so talented...I know she loves to mess around with photoshop! I just had to share ...she took several different photo's and layered them together...one of snow...one of the guys in Utah on the rocks...one of telephone lines...and of trees..I see footprints too....there might be more....she amazes me! I love the gift God has given her....ever since she left us (last year for school) and went back to the U.S. we have had to learn all the computer things ourselves...poor girl we had her fix everything....! Miss her so!
Love you Kenzie!
Bless and hugs

~ love coordinating all

Have you ever just wanted to have the right layered look? I'm reading in Kay's Smiths book ' Reflecting God'~ When you dressed this morning were you more interested in the spiritual garments or your material clothing?
As a daughter of the King take time to adorn yourself with things that last eternally~
We have a choice about what we wear~
We are studying through Colossians right now in my ladies group~
In Chp 3 verse 12 we are told~ Therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, you so you must do. 14~But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
So put on all these things and coordinate them with love!
ahh~ the perfect outfit!

one day~

My sweet friend and her husband (from our church) are going to Paris~ dreamy!
I am so happy for them~a lovely young Kiwi couple....how romantic to see all of France~
We should be happy when good things happen to other people....when they are blessed!
Rejoice with those that are rejoicing! The Lord is so sweet! I pray blessings on their trip!

New life~

Spring here in New Zealand~
It's my favorite time of year anywhere~ My Birthday is in the spring in the States~
I always feel so happy & alive when I see all the new life....Mark and I were able to take a walk after church on Sunday~we found another great trail on the Ocean...a place called Pukerua Bay just out of Wellington~
the mountians made me think of
Psalm 23

Open or closed doors~

What a lovely old church we stumbled across awhile back~ I love the doors especially the hinges~
Sometimes in our lives I think the doors are wide open and we need to walk through them in faith~Sometimes they are closed and we don't know why, but the Father does. I have learned in my life to push every door .... then the ones that don't budge to wait on Him.... after all He is the key~

New Zealand sunset~

We just hosted the Calvary Chapel pastors conference for New Zealand this past 4 days~
It was held in a lovely place called Waikanae, a little beach town~
The pastors were blessed by a family with the use of their most amazing beach home (3 levels high) 6 bedrooms, a beach cottage attached to it and 6.5 bathrooms~ all over looking the beautiful ocean onto Kapiti Island with view's of the South island.
I played cook and maid~ which was really fun plus this house had everything! We tried to really bless the guys with an abundance of everything for we know ministry is hard a lot of work and can be lonely .
They studied through Philippians together having the sweetest fellowship~a really great group of godly men! Mark and I were blessed to be the hosts this year... & we were so blessed by the family that donated their home (mansion) for these men so they could have this much needed retreat! It's a rare thing in the body of Christ to see such big givers, sadly~perhaps that is why God has in trusted them with so much...because they know it all belongs to Him & they give it all back not being stingy! We give thanks for them! Our God is amazing!
These are some pictures of the sunset~

for you~

Reflecting God~

Who do you look like?
Kay Smiths new book! Yay!
As we look at Christan women today, we see many who know nothing about the abundant life Jesus came to bring them~ And because of this life is less satisfying, less fulfilling, less joyful, and less God-honoring than it should be~
Discover how the woman who reflects God knows:
~She is loved and in turn loves others~
~Who she belongs to, and attracts others to Jesus~
~A spiritual battle is raging, and she intercedes for those entrusted to her~
~Her position in this dark world, and holds out a light to the lost~
She is the King's daughter~
She is clothed in beauty~
She is holy~
She sows to the spirit~
She continually grows~
She is joyful in trials~
She is loving~
She is a friend~
She is obedient~
She keeps her home~
She is an intercessor~
She nurtures the young~
She inspires others~
She knows her protector~
She is content~
Just started reading it!
Bless and hugs!

How do you see it~

How do you see this picture? Do you see the green grass through the keyhole...or a green piece of paper cut and placed in it?
The same goes for do you see the cup half full or half empty?
It all comes down to our attitude~
Here is something worth reading by
Charles Swindall
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company ... a church ... a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude ... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you ... we are in charge of our Attitudes.
wow...something to ponder for sure!

Proverbs 31~

~ I'm on the mend~ While I was flat out on my back for a few days I was inspired by this~(for I have been learning the art of lace-making)
~such beauty~
I was also thinking about the Proverbs 31 woman~ in verse 13: she works willingly with her hands and then in verse 23: She makes linen garments and sells them~
Has God blessed you with a certain gift~ do you cook~create~take care of children~manage the home~visit the hurting~serve in your church perhaps in Sunday school or help in other areas of church?
I know we have SO much in our lives going on~ but this women in Proverbs 31~ it talks about her household being in order and not eating the bread of idleness ~ how much time do we waste?
Use your gifts! He will reward you~read all of 31 I was so inspired!
Bless and hugs!

Spring and freezing in New Zealand~

Yes~ spring is everywhere here....blossoms galore~tiny flowers poking their sweet faces out to see the sun~birdies singing with all their little might in the trees~
Yet~ it's freezing in Wellington ...we get what's called "southerlies" they come right up from the south pole~brrr~
this past week there has been snow in the mountains around us~ lots of heavy rain~extreme wind and cold cold!
We heat with wood plus little heaters in each bedroom/office~ the homes here are not that well insulated~ so you layer your clothes for the cost to heat is outrageous~
I'm hoping it to all pass soon~ we have had such a long cold winter, we are down to our last bit of wood~ (oh no!) Send up a little prayer for warmth please!
Bless and Hugs!

Tea house in Napier New Zealand~

Last year Mark and I took a few days off and drove to Napier (about 4.5 hours from Wellington). It is a lovely little Art-deco town~ we hired a tandem bike and rode around~ We were on the marina and I couldn't believe it there was this cute little tea house/boutique~ you can sit at the tables...read fu fu magazines~ have tea/coffee and cakes in lovely tea-cups! So girly~

God's Word~

Women's study tonight~
Starting Colossians~ incredible study~
We are using Kelly Bell's studies~ she's pretty in depth~
learning the settings and History~
personal application ~cross reference.....
The theme can be summed up in the words of Colossians 3:11 Christ is all and in all~ He is God (2:9), Creator (1:16), Savior (1:20; 2:13-14), and the head of the Church (1:18). It was Paul's desire in writing Colossians that we would realize that Christ has come 'to have first place in everything.' (1:18)~
Wow!
will post more~ later~

incorruptible beauty~

Are you pretty on the outside while inside you are full of smoke? This beautiful picture above is of a cigar label~ I know, I thought it was so pretty too~then I realized it was an advertisement for cigars!
~ it made me think of this scripture~this is how I want to be~
1Pet 3:3-4
Do not let your adornment be merly outward-arranging the hair, wearing gold or putting on fine apparel-rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with an incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God~

love this~

found this online a while back~ ooh love it so~
~ it's on my inspiration board!

<3

This makes my heart sing~

When I was in California my sweet friend Shannon invited me over to her house for tea and scones~ we also made lovely (hers) soldered charms~

Not only is she beautiful....so is her house~ simple elegance which I love the warm wood tones with the cream and whites~ I tried to get a picture of the apocarathy jars in the kitchen with the tea-cups in them too~ I have some in my kitchen too! Another sweet friend of mine here named Sharyn gave me one (hard to find in New Zealand)!

Isn't she adorable!
I was blessed that day~ this one's for you Lori <3

Journals~

In-between studies we had a craft
night~ we Had a lovely time making these journals~
A few years back at the pastors wives retreat in So. Calif the theme was on Titus 2:7~ in all things showing yourself to be a pattern......we were given these adorable packets of some of the best graphics ever! I will post them....each was on a different sewing pattern....this was a "pattern of conduct". Others were on " a Pattern for marriage" ... a "bride pattern" lovely bride on the front~pattern of servanthood etc...
On the sides of their pictures they didn't skip any details~ instead of saying "simplicity" it said ,"simply in Christ".....then instead of "price" it said ,"paid"! They were all done in color...I died!
Here I photocopied one of them in black and white sized it down.....tea dyed it... beat it up a bit...we stitched them on (all different) and then when you open the inside of the cover the whole list of scriptures regarding each theme ~ same for marrage ect....
On each page ripped pattern pieces, old papers and trims sticking out of the sides...
Each where completely different....( talent in the group)!
I will post the graphics....have to scan them :~)

How do you shine~

~Precious little votive holders my sweet husband always surprises me with~
I am blessed to have a collection of many~ I love to cluster them together in groups, the lights are amazing~ whether they are on my dinning table while serving a lovely dinner party or sitting a top of my mothers old silver tray while Mark and I chat~ they always give off such a warmth and light~ just lovely~

~ did you know we are called to be lights? .... how do you shine? Do you give off light and warmth~

~Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven~ Matt 5:16

Big Hugs!
